To all our members, sponsors and supporters, we are already half-way through the year. Here is the most recent update to boNGO’s programs.
We aim to raise the standards of Education in Malawi through:
- Early Childhood Education – developing Childcare Centres (preschools) that provide quality education and care and serve as a Training Facility.
- Primary School Education – transforming bare classrooms into
“Happy Classrooms” through curiculum based educational paintings on the walls. - Youth and Adult Education – Carpentry Workshop and Film Projects.
Chimwabvi Childcare Centre
We are thrilled and excited to announce we have achieved our fundraising goal of $80,000 for the new Chimwabvi pre-school in Blantyre, Malawi.
The centre is due to complete in November 2024 and we are now seeking donors who can support the running costs and teacher salaries following completion. Please contact us if you would like to support the equipping of the facility with learning materials or help with the running costs. Donors have the option to have their company or individual name displayed on the building wall’.
Happy Classroom News
boNGO continues to build on the progress made securing support for the programme from Malawi’s Ministry of Education and a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and boNGO, with several MP’s having visited Happy Classrooms located in their constituencies.
